San Francisco

Leaving Santa Cruz, we stopped at the Santa Cruz diner. A fun little place that was just hopping. They know how to get people in and out of there and the food was very good for an exceptionally low price.

You can read about it at   http://www.santacruzdiner.com/

From there it was a quick 60 mile drive north to San Francisco where we will be for the next couple of days.

We found a little Motel that is only about 2 blocks from Ghirardelli square and it  was only $89 a night with free parking. Everything down by he wharf is $190-350 a night and $35 a day for parking. That is too much for our budget.

Since we got in early we walked sown to the wharf and looked around. We ended taking a cruise around the bay. It was still foggy out on the bay and it was a little spookey passing a container ship as we went under the Golden Gate bridge. The boat went back up and around Alkatraz and then back to the dock.

Lori wanted to look around Pier 39 at all the shops so we shopped for a little and then had dinner at Bubba Gumps. A little more shopping and we are now back at the room for the night.

As a footnote, I don't mind shopping too much when we are on a motorcycle trip, There is no place to put anything that you buy, so you don't... LOL
