Anderson to Ormond by the sea.

First off, sorry, no pictures.
Lori and I both got up this morning, even though neither of us wanted to. But when you are on a trip like this, you have to continue whether you want to or not. We were going to run cross country to Jacksonville and stop there, but neither of us really wanted to do this, so we hit the interstate and headed south.

We stopped for lunch and we were a little better, but not real enthusiastic about anything. It was just one of those days. We went towards Charlston and then headed south to Savannah, Ga and down into Florida.

When we were about 50 miles from the Florida line the temperature  shot up 30 degree's and the humidity went way up. We were cooking. It stayed that way all the way into Jacksonville beach until we were within a few miles of the ocean, then it cooled a bit.

For Lori and me both, the refreshing breezes and the smell of the salt water woke us right up. I can't believe how much familiar smells mean to a person. It felt almost like we were getting close to home.

The interesting thing was it took 7 full days (12:30 pacific time Friday to 3:30 eastern time on the next Friday) to go from home (1/4 mile from Puget sound) to the Atlantic ocean in Florida.

We were feeling Ok by then and it was still early because of the interstate travel, so we ran down hwy A1A until we got tired. We finely stopped at Ormond by the Sea, which is a short distance from Daytona Beach.

Tomorrow we sight see into Miami, and then Sunday on into Key west.
We did find a great little Cottage only a block from Duval street, (Thanks Morg! We are looking forward to meeting up. I owe you a drink!)
